Look of the Day | Smoky Pinks

Every busy woman out there knows the struggle of finding enough time to put together a flawless makeup look each and every morning. The good news is, with the right products and techniques, achieving a polished makeup look of the day is easier than you might think! With a little bit of practice, you can perfect your makeup routine so that you feel confident and ready to conquer the day, no matter how busy your schedule.

In this blog post, I'm going to share with you one of my makeup looks of the day using a layered LipSense look with Blush LipSense and Bella LipSense, sealed in with Glossy Gloss. On my eyes, I used Canyon ShadowSense, Desert Rose ShadowSense, and French Roast ShadowSense. So if you're ready to get your glam on and take on the day, keep reading!

Layered LipSense Look:

When it comes to creating the perfect makeup look of the day, a bold lip is a must (for me 😜). I absolutely love using LipSense, as it's a long-lasting, transfer-proof lip color that doesn't budge all day long. But, to take your lip game to the next level, try layering different LipSense shades for a customized look that's all your own.

For this look, I used Blush LipSense 1 layer all over my lips as a base color, then went in with Bella LipSense for 2 more layers for a deeper, richer shade. To seal in the color and add some shine, I finished with Glossy Gloss. These two lip colors are closer in shade, but when you are layering with two totally different shades it is fun to create completely different colors! Think mixing a blue and a pink lip color to create a stunning purple!

ShadowSense on the Eyes:

On my eyes, I started with Canyon ShadowSense in the crease as a warm, transitional shade. Don’t worry if it gets onto you eyelid as you are going to apply another shade and blend them together. Then, I applied Desert Rose ShadowSense all over my lid for a rosy hue. Finally, I added French Roast ShadowSense to the outer corner of my eyes and smudged Desert Rose under my lower lash line for a smoky effect.

I always like to come back once I place my shadows initially to play with the shading and depth of pigment! Don’t be afraid to mess up because it’s easy to “clean up” if you get too wild.

ShadowSense is an amazing product that lasts all day without creasing or fading. And, because it's a cream-to-powder formula, it's super blendable and easy to work with. Whether you're a makeup novice or a pro, ShadowSense is a foolproof way to add some color and dimension to your eyes.

Keeping the Rest of the Look Simple:

To really make your eyes and lips stand out, I recommend keeping the rest of your makeup look simple and understated. For my complexion, I used a medium-to-full coverage foundation in the shade Buff and a touch of bronzer to warm up my skin. A few coats of mascara and some brow cream completed the look.

Remember, less is more when it comes to your makeup look of the day. You want to feel confident and put together, but you don't want to spend hours in front of the mirror! By focusing on your lips and eyes and keeping the rest of your makeup look simple, you'll achieve a polished, professional appearance that's sure to turn heads.

Practicing and Perfecting Your Technique:

Finally, remember that practice makes perfect when it comes to makeup. If you're new to LipSense or ShadowSense, don't be afraid to experiment with different shades and techniques until you find the one that works best for you. And, always remember to blend, blend, blend! Whether you're applying eye shadow or lipstick, blending is the key to a flawless, natural finish.

With just a few simple products and techniques, you can create a stunning makeup look of the day that will have you feeling confident and ready to take on whatever the day throws your way. By layering LipSense shades, using ShadowSense on your eyes, and keeping the rest of your makeup look simple, you'll achieve a polished, professional appearance that's sure to impress. So what are you waiting for? Get your glam on and start practicing your technique today!
